Dubai's water stays calm for most of the year, but strong wind or a sudden storm does happen occasionally — and it's worth knowing how that's handled before it affects your booking.
Who makes the call
Your captain makes the safety call, not you — if conditions aren't safe to sail, the charter gets delayed or rescheduled rather than going ahead regardless. This is standard across every charter and isn't something you need to push back on; it's for everyone's safety on board.
What usually causes a delay
Strong wind and low visibility are the most common reasons, more than rain itself — a light shower with calm water is often still fine to sail through, while high wind on an otherwise clear day can still ground a charter.
Rescheduling
If your charter is affected, we'll contact you as early as possible — usually the morning of, once conditions are clearer — to reschedule to another date rather than cancel outright. See our cancellation policy for the full terms.
Safety equipment on board
Every charter includes life jackets and standard safety equipment regardless of conditions. If you have specific safety questions — for young children, guests who can't swim, anyone with medical needs — raise them when booking so the crew can plan around it.
